2016 Playoff's

Dates:

-Monday August 22nd - Saturday September 17th

(Rainout dates: Sept 15th, Sept 16th & Sept 18th)

Format:

-Round Robin Tournament

-All teams play a minimum of 5 games

-Semi-Finals & Championship games will be played on Saturday September 17th

-All Round Robin games are 1hr or 6 innings, whichever one comes first. (Note: no new innings are to start after 45mins of play)

-Top 4 teams of each division will meet in the semi-finals, winners advance to the championship game.

-Semi-Final games are also 1hr or 6 innings.

-Championship game will be 1hr 15mins or 7 innings, whichever comes first.

-Extra innings (to break a tie game) are only allowed in the semi-finals & championship games

Rules:

-Make sure your team arrives 15mins ahead of time. Games start on the hour. If you are unable to field a minimum of 9 players on the hour, this will be considered a forfeit.

-NO warm-up will be permitted on the diamond. Warm up can be done outside the diamond behind the stands.

-Only players listed on the playoff roster card, sent to you by the league, are eligible to play. NO spares allowed during the playoff. *Failing to respect this rule will result in a defaulted game.

-Home team is determined by the highest ranked

team based on the season results.

-Games are played rain or shine, however if a game must be called due to heavy rain, thunderstorms or field is deemed unsafe to play, game will be rescheduled between Thursday September 15th and Sunday September 18th.

-Points are determined as follow: -WIN=2pts -TIE=1pts -LOST=0pts

-Top 4 teams will make the semi-finals. In the event of a tie, winner will be determined by;

- Most Wins (W)

- Run Differential (RD)

- Least Runs allowed

- Most Runs scored

-BOTH captains are required to submit their game sheet via email or text within 24hrs of game time to hammondslopitch@gmail.com 613.913.3956

Saturday September 17th:

Come out for a day at the ball park and catch the All Star Game starting at 12noon followed by the Division Championship games. Let’s fill up those stands!

DON’T FORGET TO COME OUT TO THE END OF SEASON PARTY ON SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 17th, AFTER THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES. A GUARANTEED GOOD TIME & GREAT PRIZES.
